Annual Walk for Recovery
The Walk for Recovery takes place annually during September’s National Recovery Month. It celebrates those in recovery from Substance Use Disorder with a symbolic event featuring a community cookout, resources, messages of healing, a walk around the park, fostering hope, solidarity, and support for those in recovery and their loved ones.
CEO and Legislative Roundtable
The CEO and Legislative Roundtable annually convenes legislators, CEOs, and other government officials to enhance advocacy for substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery by sharing data and current research on effective policies and strategies.
The ReCOVEry Café (“The COVE”)
The ReCOVEry Café, located at The Connecting Point on Rivermont Avenue, provides a safe, sober social space for those in recovery. This takes place every first Friday of the month featuring a community meal, fun activities, and an engaging recovery-centered theme.
State of Collaboration
The annual State of Collaboration event highlights the successes of coalition work, celebrating the accomplishments of CVARR in the areas of substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery. Additionally, CVARR looks towards the future by sharing our goals and vision toward unified approaches to combating addiction.
